Today we had lunch at and toured senior living center Independence Village in Plymouth.

Today we met at noon at Independence Village Senior Living Center in Plymouth for lunch.  The chef at Independence Village prepared a delicious lunch for us of salmon, veal with capers, salad, tomato soup, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and cheesecake for dessert.  We enjoyed a leisurely lunch with great fellowship with our hosts Roland Leist and Bill Brown who are residents of Independence Village.

We had one guest today, Marlette Anquetil who is interested in membership in our Club.  Welcome Marlette.

After lunch Bill and Roland gave us a tour of the facility including each of their apartments.  We enjoyed Bill's display of airplanes, especially his replica of the Vin Fiz, the first airplane to fly cross country, starting with its wheels in the Atlantic Ocean and ending with its wheels dipped into the Pacific Ocean.  Thanks Bill and Roland for sharing the day with us.  For more pictures of our day out at Independence Village please see our photo album from the second half of 2017/2018 at http://cantonrotary.com/PhotoAlbums/rotary-year-2017-2018-second-six-months
