Jeanne addressed the club today to update us on the latest events happening for the school house in Ghana Project.  She started with a description of her last visit there in April of this year, mentioning some of the traditions and local events there there, and then her travel experience out into the School in the North West part of the countryside.

She then gave the club a review of the facilities that included practical sanitation methods for the hot climate, illustrations and displays of the completed school building and grounds, meetings with the lead teacher and review of activities planning, the new resource room, care of furniture and teaching equipment, descriptions of innovative architecture used for workroom cooling, overview of security used for precious PC's and supplies, interaction with other Rotary clubs in the area, and more follow through with the government and educational officials there at the end of the ribbon cutting ceremony (sustainability).  The picture above shows the interior resource room on the day of dedication which was attended by all of the village citizens.

Next plans are for the Vocational Training Team visit.  The club is also considering an additional donation proposal to the Foundation for continued support this year.

Kevin ran the 50/50 as Lisa pulled a 3 of diamonds (no new shoes today).
