The Canton Rotary Club met with the Plymouth AM and the Plymouth noon Club to hear a final report on our combined District Grant for the High School Safety Project.  Above are the Presidents of the three Rotary Clubs - Carol Souchock of Plymouth, Mary Wolfe of Plymouth AM, and Lisa Kennedy of Canton, along with Superintendent Monica Merritt from Plymouth Canton Community Schools, Township and City Officials, and Representatives from the three police departments.
Today the Canton Rotary Club met with the Plymouth Rotary Club (noon) and the Plymouth AM Rotary Club to celebrate the completion of the School Safety Project which was funded by a District Grant together with all three Rotary Clubs.  Our three clubs worked with Canton Township, Plymouth, and Plymouth Township, and the Plymouth Canton Community Schools to install and implement a School Safety Project which can immediately be utilized to coordinate a response to any emergency at the local high schools.  We would like to thank Supervisor Pat Williams from Canton who started the conversation and brought all of the parties together to implement this program.  We would also like to thank Plymouth Public Safety Director Police Chief Al Cox who worked tirelessly to bring this program to fruition.  The Plymouth Rotary Club hosted today's meeting and organized a delicious luncheon.  Chief Al Cox presented an overview of the program along with several examples of how the deployment would function.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and to our three Rotary Clubs.
