Our guest speaker today was Charles Lang of the Boy Scouts of America (also a Rotarian).
President John Kowalski rang us in on time today and the following are a few announcements:
  • Members are reminded to select a favorite place and time/date for a road trip.  Please see John if you do not have your list.
  • March 7th - Next Chamber of Commerce meeting.  Members are encouraged to go and represent the club and feel free to rotate.
  • If any member has an additional interest in the Grant seminars, let John or Sue know and the active list of dates and locations are here.
  • Ken gave the club an update on the new beer vendor for Liberty fest and we examined a very nice wine sample.
Charles Lang was our guest speaker today and he spoke to the club on the latest changes and updates going on with the Boy Scouts of America.  This included a special thanks for the clubs donation of $300 for the upcoming Recognition Dinner and mentoring program.  He then gave us more details on the background of the Boy Scouts of the Great Lakes Region and changes happening in North America.  John also followed up with some of our local troops to include information on the new formation of Adventure Groups in our area.
Sue then called for the kindness reports from our club members and we reported our results of this new discovery work in our community.  New volunteers were then added for next week.
Note that Ken was our surprised Sargent but improvised well to clean up for administration fees bit.
